Education For Choice has been advocating for young people’s right to factual information on abortion for 20 years. In a difficult funding climate, with a subject that can be deemed too ‘sensitive’ for mainstream funders to support, regular donations from individuals will help ensure our sustainability.
Abortion may be seen as controversial, but it’s common – a third of women in the UK experience abortion and half of teenagers who become pregnant will choose to end the pregnancy. We think everyone deserves access to evidence-based, non-judgmental information on their options and we deliver workshops, training and resources to help meet that aim.
One monthly donor told us she gives “because you shout loudly when often I just don't seem to have the time or energy to add my voice.” Help us maintain our influential voice by becoming a pro-choice pal – even small amounts will make a big difference and allow us to continue our vital and unique work. Anti-choice groups which give misinformation in schools and counselling centres gain much of their support through individual donations – let’s show them the pro-choice majority can be just as generous!
Pro-choice pals can decide how much they want to give each month, and how engaged they would like to be:
• Anyone making a regular donation will be sent a super sassy e-card and a regular newsletter to update them on EFC’s work
• Anyone making a monthly donation of £5 or more will also be sent an exclusive EFC ‘totes pro-choice’ tote bag
• Anyone making a monthly donation of £50 or more will be sent a delicious cake and an EFC tote bag
Please make your donation via Just Giving- and don't forget to add Gift Aid if you're a UK taxpayer!
