There are many websites selling abortion medication. EFC does NOT recommend buying abortion medication online or endorse these sites. Websites selling medication are unregulated and there is no guarantee that they will sell the correct medication or sell it in appropriate, safe or effective doses.
Safe abortion is available to women in mainland Britain free on the NHS, and practical support can be provided by the Abortion Support Network for women who need to travel to mainland Britain from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to access a safe abortion here.
EFC only knows of one not-for-profit web-based abortion provider staffed by medical doctors, and which provides counselling for women. Women on Web will NOT sell to women in countries where abortion is legal. The aim of Women on Web is to provide safe and affordable abortion for those who might otherwise resort to unsafe, self-induced or backstreet abortion in parts of the world where women cannot access a safe abortion.
